Connect an AI assistant

Wise Penny is a remote MCP server. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw/Hermes, or any MCP-compatible assistant so it can analyze your spending and answer questions about your money — over a secure sign-in, with no API keys or client IDs to paste.

Before you start

You need a Wise Penny account with at least one bank connected. If you haven’t set that up yet, sign in first and follow the guided setup — creating your circle and linking a bank happen in the app, not in your assistant.

The remote MCP URL

Every assistant connects to the same URL. When you add it, you sign in to Wise Penny once (OAuth) — there’s nothing else to enter.

Cursor, VS Code, and other MCP-compatible clients all work the same way — add a custom/remote MCP connector and paste the URL above, then sign in when prompted.

Reads your finances — never moves money

Wise Penny reads your finances. It does not move money. Connecting an assistant gives it a read-only window into your accounts — there is no capability to transfer, send, or withdraw.

Your data

Read-only access to your money movement: Wise Penny connects to your banks through Plaid, which is read-only. No connector or assistant can initiate a transfer.
Scoped, revocable authorization: Assistants connect via OAuth and get a token scoped to reading and organizing your data. Revoke any assistant's access at any time from Settings.
Never sold, never used to train models: Your financial data is yours. Wise Penny does not sell it and does not use it to train AI models.
Deleted when you leave: Cancel your subscription and your connected financial data is removed.
